Wake up call

Good morning (oder eher guetä Abe bi öich)

I can't believe what just happened the last 3 days: Every morning at 8.40 I get a phone call (on my cell phone!) from a number I don't know. Two times it was a man and today it was a woman. The guy asked: "Oh Hi, can I talk to August please?" Me: "There is no August, I'm sorry." The second time he called "Is Augaust there?" Me: "No, he isn't! I already told you yesterday that this is not August's number!" And guess what the lady who called today wanted?!? Yeah you're right, she wanted to talk to August ... Oh my God ... Can you believe that??? I can't. It is pretty annoying to get a phone call from people who just ask for August every morning ;-) I wonder if they'll call also tomorrow ... hehe. I don't even know where they have my number from by the way. Strange strange...

Hey there

How is it going?

I told you that I didn't really took a lot of photos from the campus and I know it's hard for you to imagine how it looks like without photos. Everyone keeps telling me: "Sarah, take pictures from your dorm, the Tennis Team, the campus...We want to know how Cheney is...I have no idea how it looks like there!" I know you had to wait a long time to see some photos so that you can imagine how it is here (I'm really sorry about that!) and you must be all exited to see them. So there you go ... have fun looking at the pictures and don't hesitate to write a comment, I always enjoy reading them!

On the first photo you can see the PUB. But no, it is NOT what you think it is ;-) it's the Pence Union Building and inside of that building there is the caffeteria, some big conference rooms, a cybercafé, rooms where you can study, a lot of sofas and of course the Eagle Bookstore where you can buy books, things for your computer, candy ... yeah just stuff like that.

I really like our campus because the buildings are pretty nice and there are trees and bushes everywhere! The squirrels that are running everywhere all day are very cute too ... Ok, that's it for today ... Take care and ...

My first Football game: EWU - Montana State

Last saturday I have been to my first football game. I didn't understand too much ;-) but it was sooo funny! It's just funny to watch that sport because all they do is running into each other - well at least this is the impression I had ... It's a big event because there are so many people and there is a lot of food, music, chearleader, etc. Everyone enjoys watching those football games ... But I have to say that I didn't stay there until the end. I just watched the first half and then we all had enough and above all it was getting cold, so we left. I am looking forward for the next football game at EWU, I will go and watch it for sure ;-) So there are some pictures that you can look at ... Have fun

On the first photo you can see the Montana State fans (I had to take a picture of them too you know) and the two buildings in the background are two of the dorms on campus (Pierce and Dressler). The second photo shows some football players just before running into each other ;-) lol ... and on the third one you can see Daniela and me. It really was a funny afternoon and we're all exited to go to next game.

I hope you are having a good time and that everything is going good. I am having a good time here, but I miss you my friends and I'm looking forward to come back home and see you again!

EWU Campus

I had a lot of time after my first class today (because I totaly messed up my first "exam" in my computer class) and that's why I decided to take some pictures...

This picture is taken from the library (which you will see on one of following pictures)

This is a fountain on the campus. When you're passing by, you can smell the "chloorig Gschmack vom Wasser" ;-) lol

Here you see the same things as before but from further away. I was standing right in front of the library when I took this picture. The trees have different colors; they are red and yellow ... well just how it is in autumn you know ;-) The ground is covered with leaves, the squirrels are running around ...

And this is the library. It's a big building where a lot of students go to study every day (but not me - I prefer to do my homework in my room). At the moment I just go there to print out the things I need for my classes, but I think this will change pretty soon ...

D Amerikaner festä u gärn, egau öb Friti, Samsti oder o Sunnti. U wenn das noni gnue isch gsi, jaaa denn haut o no dürd Wuche ;-) Drum hei mir scho s paar Home Parties gha und i muss sägä, es isch immer u lustig gsi bis jez. Z bestä dran isch, dass hie fasch immer irgendöpis louft, o dürd Wuche. D.h. am Abe lüte si eifach mau a u frage öbd Lust hesch chli zu ihnä z ga u meistens isch när z ganze Tennis Team mit anderne Kollege döt und es isch eifach genial; mä lernt o immer wieder nöii Lüt kennä. So verbringe d Amerikaner meistens ihre Abe wenn sie nid grad am lernä si ;-)

The dorms

Das Gebäude ufem Foti isch eis vo dä "dorms" hie ufem Campus. I wohnä zwar nid i däm, aber miis gseht glich us. Ha no nid so viu Fotis vor Uni gmacht (u äbä o nid mau vo mim "dorm" - oops) Ha no nid so Zit defür gfunge, aber das chunnt de no. Muss scho bau pressiere wenni s paar Herbstfotis wot mache, sie sägä dass es scho gli chunnt cho schneiä ;-) Aber hüt isch u nä schönä Tag gsi und mir hei ändlich mau richtig warm gha, so 25 Grad hani ghörä sägä. Pas mal ... süsch hei mir nämlich immer rächt chaut gha und i bi scho mit 2 Pullis und mim Schau am umeloufä. Das mache aber lang nid aui; Es git Lüt, die loufä immer no ide churze Hose und im T-Shirt ume (während däm ig scho haub früüre lol).

Ok, wenni scho vo Chleider redä mussi öich öpis verzeuä...Es isch genial wie sich d Lüt hie zum Teil alegä. Ganz angers aus bi üs uf jedä Fau: Vieli Studäntä chömä mit dä Trainerhose und ämnä normale Pulli, ganz im Trainer, mit haubä Badmäntlä (gseht ämu so us wie nä Badmantu;-)) oder sogar im Pyjama (!!!) ad Uni. I meinä wenn mir bi üs ir Schwitz id Schuel/ Uni gö, legä mir z.B. Jeans und e schönä Pulli a oder so ... Mä würdi scho nume komisch agluegt wärdä wemä im Trainer id Schu würd ga ... you know what I mean? I sägä öich, es isch würklich lustig z gseh wie sich d Lüt hie z.T. alegä ;-)
